Burung kicau (Songbirds)
Asian Stubtail
Urosphena squameiceps
- langka
- 55 km/h

A walking forest mouse with wings. Almost no tail, almost no song, almost no sighting — and yet there it is, foot-high through the leaf litter.
- Populasi
- Global population not quantified; species described as locally common, with national estimates in the range of 10,000-100,000 breeding pairs each in China, Korea, and Japan. Population trend is suspected decreasing (1-19% decline per decade) due to forest loss.
- Habitat
- Undergrowth of evergreen broadleaf and subtropical/temperate moist forest, lowland coniferous forest, and temperate shrubland; typically near the ground among fallen logs, dense low vegetation, and leaf litter. Elevation range roughly 0-2,100 m.
- Fakta menarik
- Despite its loud, high-pitched insect-like song, the Asian Stubtail is one of the hardest Asian forest birds to actually see, spending nearly all its time skulking on or near the forest floor rather than in the canopy.
- Sebaran
- Breeds in far-eastern Russia, northeastern China, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan (south to around Yakushima); a full migrant that winters in southeastern China, Hainan, Taiwan, and Indochina (Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar), with occurrence also recorded in Nepal and the Philippines.
- Makanan
