Rufous Treepie
Dendrocitta vagabunda
- tidak umum
- 48 km/h
- Risiko rendah
A long bright tail flicks across the canopy and a metallic ko-ki-la rings out — half corvid trickster, half garden ornament. It will steal anything not nailed down.
- Populasi

- Habitat
- Open deciduous woodland, dry and mixed deciduous forest, secondary growth, scrub, plantations, cultivated land, and urban gardens; typically below 1,000 m but reaching up to 2,100 m locally
- Fakta menarik
- The rufous treepie acts as a cleaning symbiont for sambar deer, perching on them to pick off and eat ectoparasites — a relationship the deer tolerate and even seem to invite by holding still.

- South and Southeast Asia: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam; largely resident, though local elevational/seasonal movements are noted in the Himalayan foothills (e.g. Garhwal)
- Makanan
- Omnivorous - insects and their larvae, spiders, snails, small vertebrates, eggs and nestlings of other birds, fruit, seeds, nectar, and carrion; also caches food like other corvids
- Ukuran
- 0,48 m
- Bentang sayap
- 0,4 m
- Masa hidup
- 3,4 tahun
